Sonic commits to Memphis Motorsports Park
Sonic has committed to two more years as the official drive-in restaurant of Memphis Motorsports Park.
In addition to signage, print advertisements and tickets, Sonic and Memphis Motorsports Park have partnered to expand the Sonic Family Four-Pack ticket package to both the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O’Reilly 200 on July 15 and the NASCAR Busch Series Sam’s Town 250 on Oct. 28.
Sonic also takes ownership of the Kids Zone, located trackside on NASCAR race days at Memphis Motorsports Park. The “Sonic Drive-In Kids Zone” is a free interactive kids amusement village.
Jason Rittenberry, vice president and general manager of Memphis Motorsports Park, said the park is excited about the extension of the partnership.
“The Sonic Family Four-Pack was vital to our success in doubling attendance at the 2005 O’Reilly 200. And by adding the Sam’s Town 250 to the mix, tickets will be in greater demand than ever with all of our area Sonic Drive-Ins supporting NASCAR in Memphis,” he said.
In addition to Sonic, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Sam’s Town Tunica, other sponsors of the Motorsports Park include Coca-Cola, Millington Telephone, Hilton Properties, Methodist North Hospital, Ledbetter Meats, Chuck Hutton Chevrolet and Cellular South.
