New BMW 3 Series
When the redesigned 2007 BMW 3 Series coupes arrive in U.S. showrooms this fall, they’ll be accompanied by hefty increases on the window stickers, at least according to dealer leaks.
Featuring all-new sheetmetal and upgraded powertrains, the two-doors will range in price from $35,995 to $41,295 — an average increase of $3,000 over the ‘06 models. BMW spokesman Oleg Satanovsky told Inside Line prices will be officially released in about two weeks. He could not confirm the price range, he said, adding that the Web reports were probably generated by dealers. “It’s possible the numbers are coming from dealers who leaked them,” he said.
The new 328i Coupe will start at $35,995, compared with $32,995 for this year’s 325Ci Coupe. The potent 335i Coupe starts at $41,295, compared with $38,295 for the current 330Ci Coupe. A new 328xi Coupe, with all-wheel drive, will also be available for the first time.
BMW once again will offer the usual range of option packages and stand-alone accessories, including active cruise control ($2,200), active steering ($1,250) and navigation with iDrive ($2,100).
