In the lap of luxury with the Honda Civic hybrid
The Honda Civic petrol-electric hybrid is curvaceous and streamlined as well as being reliable and well engineered.
Inside, the chunky dashboard is perhaps a little bulky and crowded with buttons but the stereo controls built into the steering wheel are a nice modern touch.
There’s plenty of room in both the front and rear of the car and the comfortable driving seat provides a clear view of the road ahead.
Complete with side, curtain and dual front airbags, electronic brake force distribution, stability control and child-seat anchor points, the Civic aids peace of mind when it comes to safety issues.
Couple this with luxury leather heated seats, leather trim steering wheel and heated door mirrors, you may think this car has it all.
It has yet to be tested by Euro NCAP but has several security features such as an immobiliser, remote central locking and an alarm, features which may reduce car insurance premiums.
The combination of electric and petrol gives the car plenty of power, the only drawbacks being jerky steering and resistance tyres which can make for a bumpy ride.
The Honda Civic is available from £16,265 in modest car insurance group seven.
