TEAM FFM HONDA GP 125
No break for the Team FFM Honda GP 125 since the Australian Grand Prix has started today on the circuit of Phillip Island. Mike di Meglio (Team FFM Honda GP 125 - Honda RS125 ‘Kit HRC’), realised good practice in cold weather conditions (14° in the morning) .6th position in free practice, Mike kept on improving in qualifying session and he will end this first practice day in 10th place (3rd row of the provisional starting grid) in 1’37’’826 (almost two tenth faster than his best time in 2005) and second Honda rider.
Mike di Meglio: “This morning, it was quite cold but the free session was a good one for me and we could improve for the qualifying practice.
In the afternoon, the wind changed direction and so we had to modify some settings but I had a very good feeling with the bike. We also use a tyre larger because there are some larges curves on this track. I could make one fast lap at the end of the practice that allowed me to be classified in 10th place, even if there was traffic on the track. The whole team and myself were confidents for tomorrow. ”
After the crash occurred at the end of the warm up of the Malaysian Grand Prix, Alexis Masbou, came back in France with 4 fractures in his hand. The young French rider was operated in order to insert some pins in the hand. He hopes to be recovered for the Grand Prix in Portugal on the circuit of Estoril that will take place the 15th of October.
