New car: New Nissan X-Trail
Following its unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March Nissan will be bringing the new X-Trail to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in the UK next weekend.
Goodwood will be the first place where customers from this part of the world can experience the all new X-TRAIL which should go on sale here in the autumn. It will be on show in Nissan’s new dome-shaped stand as well as beside the Nissan dedicated 4×4 off road course, further up the hill alongside the race circuit. Nissan say that this is a unique opportunity to try out the X-TRAIL’s superb all-round ability with new engines, transmissions, interior layout and off-road features.
Because the existing X-Trail has proven a big success, Nissan says that it took heed of their customers and set about building on the success of the original. Therefore the all-new X-TRAIL is more of an evolution than a revolution, it has a familiar look but Nissan say it is certainly new in many ways, such as having a new chassis, new engines, more space in a higher quality interior, plus better performance on and off-road.
I will have more on the new X-Trail in the coming weeks but for now, suffice to say it offers more interior space than before, greater comfort and refinement, more equipment and, thanks to three new engine options, better performance, economy and reduced emissions. Nissan also say that passenger and pedestrian safety has been enhanced while the new X-TRAIL has more practical and user-friendly features.
