The C63 is the entry-level AMG vehicle in the North American marketplace, specially tuned by the German manufacturer’s go-fast gurus. The 6.2 liter V8 engine installed makes 451 horsepower in this application, bettering the output of competition like the Audi RS4, BMW M3 and upcoming Lexus IS-F. It cranks the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic with shift-paddles.

Styling upgrades help to set the AMG model apart. These include a lowered stance, larger wheels and trademark quad-exhausts to leave an unmistakable impression with other motorists following behind. The entire package rides atop a system called Agility Control, which offers selective damping of the sport suspension.

Shoppers may also specify options like a premium stereo system with CD changer, keyless access, a rear-window sunshade, navigation system and voice command.
