2008 Honda Hybrid Civic Contest
1. Promotion Description. This promotion is sponsored by WREG-TV, 803 Channel 3 Drive, Memphis, TN 38103, and Wolfchase Honda, 2982 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett, TN (”Sponsor(s)”). The Contest begins on April 24, 2008 at 10PM and ends at 10:35 PM on May 21, 2008 (”Contest Period”). WREG-TV reserves the right to extend the contest date.
2. Eligibility: Only one (1) entry per person and one (1) prize per household for the Contest. Participant(s), winner(s) and guest(s) must be legal US residents at least 18 years old as determined by WREG-TV and reside in the Memphis Designated Market Area as defined by the Nielson Company. Winners are subject to a verification process to include winner’s name, address, home phone number, work/cell phone number and social security number. If a winner is disqualified, WREG-TV reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or to not award that winner’s prize at all. Employees of WREG-TV, the Contest’s participating sponsors and their advertising agencies, employees of other television or radio stations, and members of the immediate families of such persons are not eligible to participate and win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other person residing at the same household whether or not related. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. The Contest is void where prohibited and is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Winners of any WREG-TV contest during the past 3 months will be disqualified.
3. How to Enter. There are two ways to enter this promotion. During the Contest Period, viewers will be invited to watch the News Channel 3 at 10 PM newscast for the cue to call.
(a) Acceptance by Phone: Beginning Thursday, April 24, 2008 and continuing through Monday, May 19, 2008, the third person who calls after the cue to call is announced during the 10 PM newscast each weekday will win a $300 cash prize. WREG-TV may announce prizes in addition to or other than the $300 cash prize. The 3rd person who successfully calls in and claims the prize will also be registered to be a finalist in the Wolfchase Honda Civic Hybrid giveaway, which includes $5,000 (five thousand dollars).
(b) Contest Entry Form at Wolfchase Honda: Beginning Thursday, April 24, 2008 and continuing through Monday, May 19, 2008, viewers will have another chance to enter to win the Honda Civic Hybrid and $5000 (five thousand dollars) by completing an entry form at Wolfchase Honda. Each Friday between April 24, 2008 and May 19, 2008, one finalist will be drawn at random from the entries received at the dealership. Each finalist will then be eligible for the drawing to win the Honda Civic Hybrid plus $5,000 (five thousand dollars).
No mechanically reproduced, software-generated or other automated multiple entries are permitted. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or mutilated entries, including due to transmission, technical, and/or network failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any hardware or software (whether originating with sender or Sponsor(s)), telephonic failures, human error, or any other error or malfunction.
Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted by an individual shall be determined by Sponsor(s) in its/their sole discretion, and Sponsor(s) reserve(s) the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the promotion.
4. Prize(s). The eighteen (18) daily winners of the 10PM Cue to Call will receive one $300 cash and (1) entry in the grand prize drawing. A random drawing from among all finalists described in section 3(a) and 3(b) will be conducted on or about May 20th by a WREG-TV station representative. The grand prize Winner will receive the grand prize of one (1) 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid along with $5000 (five thousand dollars). Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. The 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid awarded to the grand prize winner will be titled to the winner and at no time has it been titled WREG-TV or any station representative.
5. How the Prizes are Awarded. For daily prizes - After the cue to call is given on News Channel 3, the third caller to the contest line will win the daily prize.
For grand prize - The grand prize will be awarded via a random blind drawing out of the daily winners and finalists selected from entries at Wolfchase Honda. The drawing will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Wolfchase Honda, 2982 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett, TN. Must be present to win.
6. Odds of Winning. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
7. Telephone and Delivery Disclaimer: Participants are restricted to the use of ordinary telephone equipment. Participants that enable the “Caller ID” block function will not be allowed to participate unless they enter their correct area code and telephone number if prompted, or disable the features inhibiting their participation in the Contest. Participants using equipment not set up for toll free phone exchanges (800, 888, 877, 866, etc.) may experience call connection problems. WREG disclaims all liability for the inability of a participant to complete or continue a telephone call due to equipment malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnections, acts beyond WREG’s control, or otherwise. WREG disclaims all liability for any delays, misdelivery, loss, or failure in the delivery of any item sent by mail, courier, express, electronic transmission, or other delivery method. WREG is not responsible for mechanical, technical, computer, hardware or software errors, malfunctions or failures of any kind, including: failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed transmission of entries, traffic congestion on telephone lines which may limit an entrant’s ability to participate in the Contest.
8. Conditions of Acceptance of Prize. Driver’s license or other appropriate picture identification is required to claim a prize. The winner(s), and/or any other persons necessary will be required to execute and return a release and affidavit of eligibility within 10 days of prize notification, or the prize will be forfeited. A winner must take possession of his or her prize by 5:00 p.m. 6/13/08 or the prize will be forfeited.
Winner(s) will be solely responsible for any and all local, state, and federal taxes, as well as license and registration fees incurred by participating in the promotion, including, but not limited to, transportation costs, gratuities and other items of an incidental nature. WREG-TV will report any individual winnings over $600 (in cash or fair market value of goods or services) in a one year period to the Internal Revenue Service. Winner(s) will receive a Form 1099 from WREG-TV if WREG-TV reports any winnings to the Internal Revenue Service. Prize(s) may not be exchanged for cash or any other consideration.
9. Release; Publicity; Use of Personal Information: By participating in the Contest, each participant and winner waives any and all claims of liability against WREG-TV, its employees and agents, the Contest’s Sponsors and their respective employees and agents, for any personal injury or loss which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the Contest, or from the use of any prize. In order to receive a prize, participants must sign an official declaration of eligibility and release form provided by WREG-TV. By accepting a prize, winner consents to use of name, state of residence and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes online and in print, or in any other media worldwide in connection with the Contest, without limitation and without additional compensation worldwide, except where prohibited by law.
10. Limitation on Liability. By entering this promotion, each entrant forever discharges and releases Sponsor(s), its/their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, suits, and demands of any kind arising from or in connection with the promotion, including, without limitation, responsibility for property damage, loss of life, or personal injury resulting from or in connection with participating in the promotion or from or in connection with use or receipt of the prize(s), however caused.
11. Sponsor’s Reservation of Rights. These official rules are subject to modification by WREG-TV. In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by WREG-TV are final and binding. Sponsor(s) reserve(s) the right, in its/their sole discretion, to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process or the operation of Sponsor’s/Sponsors’ web site(s), or who otherwise acts in violation of these official rules. Sponsor(s) further reserve(s) the right, in its/their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, or modify this promotion if, for any reason, the promotion is not capable of completion as planned (including, but not limited to, for the following reasons: infection by computer virus, technical corruption, force majeure, or non-authorized human intervention that compromises or affects the administration, fairness, integrity, security, or proper conduct of the promotion).
12. Miscellaneous: Each winner must submit proof of eligibility and sign WREG’s release form to claim the prize. WREG may substitute prizes, amend the rules or discontinue the Contest at any time as announced on the Station(s). WREG disclaims any responsibility to notify participants of any aspect related to the conduct of the Contest.

Written copies of these rules are also available during normal business hours at the business offices of WREG at 803 Channel 3 Drive, Memphis, TN 38103. All entries become the property of WREG and will not be returned.
14. Compliance with Law: The conduct of the Contest is governed by the applicable laws of the United States of America, which take precedence over any rule to the contrary herein. WREG shall follow the applicable laws for conducting contests.
